Aaron's sons gave the people into his hands. He placed them around the altar. They asked Mary for the key of the altar. He gave her the fat that comes from the inside, along with the membrane on the liver. They placed the fat on the chest. He waved this fat on the altar and on the chest and right side of Aaron as a feeding offering before the Lord as Moses had commanded. Then Aaron led the people and blessed them. He went up the altar and brought the fat down. Moses brought Aaron forward from the tent and blessed the people. Then it happened that the light appeared to all the people and they were amazed at the method of fat coming out of the fire before the Lord. Seeing this, the people shouted in praise and bowed down with the hair on their faces.
