यहोवा परमेश्वर ने जितने बेनल पशु बनाए थे उन सब में सर्प दूध था और उसने स्त्री से कहा क्या सच है कि परमेश्वर ने कहा कि तुम इस वाटिका के किसी वृक्ष का फल ना खाना स्त्री ने सबसे कहा इस वाटिका के वृक्ष के फल हम खा सकते हैं पर जो ब्रिज वाटिका के बीच में है उसके फल के विषय में परमेश्वर ने कहा कि ना तो तुम उसको खाना और ना उसको छूना नहीं तो मर जाओगे तब सर्प ने स्त्री से कहा तुम निश्चय ना मारोगे वरन परमेश्वर आप जानता है की जींस दिन तुम उसका फल खाओगे उसी दिन तुम्हारे आंखें खुल जाएग और तुम भले बुरे का ज्ञान पाकर परमेश्वर के तुल्य हो जाओगे तो आप स्त्री ने देखा कि उसे वृक्ष का फल खाने में इच्छा अच्छा और देखने में मनभाव और बुद्धि देने के लिए क्या है योग्य भी है तब उसने उसमें से तोड़कर खाया और अपने पति को भी दिया और उसने भी खाया तब उन दोनों की आंखें भुलाई और उनको मालूम हुआ कि वह नारे हैं सोनू ने अंजीर के पत्ते जोड़-जोड़ कर लंगोट बना लिए तब यहोवा परमेश्वर जो दिन के ठंडे समय वाटिका में फिरता था उसका शब्द उनको सुनाई दिया तब आदम और उसकी पत्नी वाटिका के वृक्ष के बीच यह हुआ परमेश्वर से छुप गए तभी हुआ परमेश्वर ने पुकार कर आदम से पूछा तू कहां है उसने कहा मैं हूं तेरा शब्द बारे में सुनकर डर गया क्योंकि मैं नाडा था इसलिए छप गया उसने कहा कि कि तूने चीते है तू नाडा है जिस वृक्ष का फल खाने को मैं तुझे मनवाया था क्या तूने उसका फल खाया आंड ने कहा जिस स्त्री को तूने मेरे संग रहने को दिया उसी ने उसे वृक्ष का फल मुझे दिया और मैंने खाया तब यह हुआ परमेश्वर ने स्त्री से कहा तूने यह क्या किया स्त्री ने कहा सर्प ने मुझे भाग कर दिया तब मैंने खाया तभी हुआ परमेश्वर ने सर्प से कहा तूने जो यह किया इसलिए तू सब घरेलू पशुओं और सब बेलिया पशुओं से अधिक श्रापित है तो पेट के बाल चला करेगी और जीवन भर मिट्टी जाता रहेगा और मैं और इस स्त्री के बीच में और तेरे वंश और इसके वंश के बीच में बैर उत्पन्न करूंगा वह तेरे सर को कुचल डालेगा और तू उसकी एड़ी को धसेगा फिर स्त्री ने उनसे कहा मैं तेरी पीड़ा और तेरे गर्भवती होने के दुख को बहुत बढ़ाया तो पीड़ित होकर बालक उत्पन्न करेगा और तेरे लालसा तेरे पति की और होगी और वह तुझ पर प्रभुता करेगा और आदम से उसने कहा तूने जो अपनी पत्नी की बात सुनी और जिस वृक्ष के फल के विषय में तूने आज्ञा दी कि तू उसे खाना उसको तू खाएगा इसलिए भूमि तेरे करोड़ों श्रापित है तो उसकी उपार्जन जीवन भर दुःख के साथ खा रहेगा और वह तेरे लिए कांटे और उठ कांटे जाएंगे और तू खेत के ऊपर जाएगा और अपने माथे पसीने को रोटी खिलाया करेगा और अंत में मिट्टी में मिल जाएगा क्योंकि तूने उसी में से निकल गया है तू मिट्टी तो और मिट्टी ही में फिर मिल जाएगा और एडम ने अपनी पत्नी का नाम हवा रखा क्योंकि जितने मनुष्य जीवित है उन सब की आदिमता वही हुई और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम हो उसकी पत्नी के लिए चमड़े के अंगुली बनाकर उनको पहने दिए फिर यहोवा परमेश्वर ने कहा मनुष्य भले बुरे का ज्ञान पाकर हम में से एक के समान हो गया और इसलिए आप ऐसा ना होगी वह हाथ बढ़ाकर जीवन के वृक्ष का फल भी तोड़ के खाली और सदा जीवित रहे तब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने उसको आनंद की वाटिका में से निकाल दिया और उसकी भूमि पर खेती करें जिसमें से वह बनाया गया था इसलिए आदम को उसी ने निकाल दिया और जीवन के वृक्ष के मार्ग का पहरा देने के लिए आदान को वाटिका के पूर्व की ओर कर्मों में आओ चारों ओर घूमने वाला ज्वाला माई तलवार को भी नियुक्त कर दिया

He will crush your head and you will crush his heel." Then the woman said to them, "I will increase your pain and the pain of your pregnancy a lot.
