यहोशू के अध्याय 23

इसके बहुत दिनों के बाद जब यह हुआ नहीं इसराइलियों को उनके चारों ओर से शत्रुओं से श्रम पी विश्राम दिया और यहूदियों बुध और बहुत आयु का हो गया तब यहूदियों सा भी स्त्रियों को अर्थात पुरानियों मुख्य पुरुषों न्यायियों और सरदारों को मुलावा कर कहने लगा मैं तो अब बुध और बहुत आयु का हो गया हूं और तुमने देखा कि तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें निर्मित इन सब जातियों से क्या-क्या किया है क्योंकि जो तुम्हारे और लड़ता आया है वह तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यह हुआ है देखो मैंने इन बची हुई जातियों को चिट्ठी दाल डालकर तुम्हारे गोत्रों का भाग कर दिया और यादव से लेकर सूर्यास्त की ओर के बड़े समुद्र तक रहने वाले उन सब जातियों को भी ऐसा ही किया जिसको मैंने काट डाला है और तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यह हुआ उनको तुम्हारे संभावना से उनके देश में से निकाल देगा और तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार उनके देश के अधिकारी हो जाओगे इसलिए बहुत ही साफ बांधकर जो कुछ मूसा की व्यवस्था की पुस्तक में लिखा है उनके पूरा करने से चौकसी करना उससे ना तो दाहिनी मुड़ना और ना बेन यह जो जातियां तुम्हारे बीच रह गई है इनके बीच में न जाना और ना इनके देवताओं के नाम को चर्चा करना और ना उसकी शपथ खिलाना और ना उनकी उपासना करना और ना उसको दंडवत करना परंतु ऐसे आज के दिन तक तुम अपने परमेश्वर युवा की भक्ति में लाभ इंडिया रहते हो वैसे ही रहना करना यहोवा ने तुम्हारे संभावना से बड़ी-बड़ी बलवंत जातियां निकाल ली है और तुम्हारे संभावना ने आज के दिन तक कोई धारा नहीं सका तुम में से एक मनुष्य हजार मनुष्यों को भाग आएगा क्योंकि तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा अपने वचन के अनुसार तुम्हारी ओर से लड़ता है इसलिए अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रेम रखने की पूरी चौकसी करना क्योंकि यदि तुम किसी रीति या हवा से फिर कर इन जातियों के बाकी लोगों से मिलने लगो तो तुम्हारे बीच बचे हुए रहते हैं और इसे ब्याह शादी करके उनके साथ सम डायना रिश्ता जोड़ा जो निश्चय जान लो कि आगे को तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यह हुआ इन जातियों को तुम्हारे संभावना से नहीं निकलेगा और यह तुम्हारे लिए दाल और फंदे और तुम्हारे पंजों के लिए घोड़े और तुम्हारी आंखों के कांटे करेंगे और अंत में तुम इस अच्छी भूमि पर यह जो तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें दी है नष्ट हो जाएगा सुनो मैं तो सब अब सब सांसारियों की गतियां पर जाने वाला हूं और तुम सब अपने अपने हृदय और मन मे जानते हो की जितनी भलाई की बातें हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने हमारे विषय में कहीं उनमें से एक भी बिना पूरी हुई नहीं रही वह सब के सब तुम पर घट गई है उनमें से एक भी बिना पूरी हुई नहीं रही तो जैसा तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा की कही हुई सब भलाई की बातें तुम पर घटी है वैसे ही यहोवा विपत्ति की सब बातें भी तुम पर घटती घटते तुमको इस अच्छी भूमि के ऊपर से जिसे तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें दिया है सत्यानाश कर डालेगा जब तुम उसे वजह को जिससे तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुमको आजा देकर अपने साथ बनाया है उल्लंघन करके पराए देवताओं को उपासना और उसके दंडवत करने लगोगे तब यहोवा का कप तुम पर भड़केगा और तुम इस अच्छे देश में से उसमें से तुमको दिया है शीघ्र नाश हो जाएगा

After a long time, when the Israelites had been rested from their enemies all around them, and Judah was old and well advanced, and he called together the women, the elders, the chief men, the judges, and the officers, and said, I am old and well advanced, and you have seen what the LORD your God has done to all these nations he has made you. This is your God who has fought against you. Behold, I have given these remaining nations an inheritance by lot to your tribes, and I have done the same to all the nations that live from the sea toward the setting sun, whom I have cut off. This is your God who will drive them out of their land before you, and you will possess their land, as the LORD your God has promised. Therefore, be very careful to do everything that is written in the book of the law of Moses. You shall not turn aside from it, nor go among the nations that are left among you, nor mention the name of their gods, nor swear by them, nor You shall not worship them nor bow down to them, but you shall continue to live in devotion to the Lord your God until this day. The Lord has taken out great and mighty nations from your sight, and your sight has not been shattered to this day. One man from among you will make a thousand men flee, for the Lord your God fights for you, as He has promised. Therefore, be very careful to love the Lord your God. For if you turn aside in any way or way and join the rest of these nations, and marry and marry them, you shall be entangled with them. Know for certain that from now on, your God will not take these nations out of your sight. They will be snares for you, traps for your feet, thorns for your feet, and thorns in your eyes. In the end, you shall perish in this good land which the Lord your God has given you. Listen, I am going to go after the ways of all the worldly people, and you know in your hearts and in your minds that not one of the good things that the Lord our God spoke about us has failed to come true. All of them have come upon you, not even one of them has remained unfulfilled. Just as all the good things that the Lord your God said have come upon you, so will the Lord also bring all the evil things upon you, destroying you completely from this good land that the Lord your God has given you. When you transgress the reason for which the Lord your God has freed you and made you with himself, and start serving other gods and bowing down to them, then the wrath of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you will quickly perish from this good land that he has given you.
