तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा इस रेलिया से बात करके उनके पूर्वजों के घर आने के अनुसार उनके सब प्रधानों के पास में से एक-एक छड़ी ले और उन 12 झाड़ियां में से एक-एक पर एक के मूल पुरुष के नाम लिख और लेबरिंग की छड़ी पर हारुन का नाम लिख क्योंकि सहेलियों के पूर्वज के घर आने के एक-एक मनुष्य पुरुष की एक-एक छड़ी होगी और उन साड़ियों को मिला वाले तंबू के साक्षी पत्र के आगे जहां मैं तुम लोगों से मिल करता हूं रख दे और जिस पुरुष को मैं चुगा उसकी छड़ी में कालिया फुट निकलेगी और इसराइलियों जो तुम पर बुध बुध बुदहट रहते हैं वह बुद्ध बढ़ाने में अपने ऊपर से दूर करूंगा समोसा ने इस रेलिया से यह बात कही और उनके सब प्रधानों ने अपने अपने लिए अपने-अपने वजन के घराने के अनुसार एक-एक छड़ी उसे दी और 12 चिड़िया हुई और उनकी झाड़ियां में हारून की भी उन छड़ी थी उन चिड़ियों में मूसा ने साक्षी पत्र के तंबू में यहोवा के सामने रख लिया दूसरे दिन मौसी साक्षी पत्र के तंबू में गया तो क्या देखा कि हारून की छड़ी जोड़ लबी के घर आने के लिए थी उसमें कलियां फुट निकली है अर्थात उन कल्याण लगी और फूल भी फूल और उसके बाद हम भी लगे समोसा उन सब चिड़ियों को यहोवा के संभालने से निकालकर सभी शराबियों के पास ले गया और उन्होंने अपनी अपनी छड़ी पहनकर ले गई फिर क्या हुआ ने मूसा से कहा हर उनकी छड़ी को साक्षी पत्र के सामने फिर घर दे कि वह दंगा करने वाले के लिए एक निशान बंद कर रखी है कि तू उसका बुलबुला होता जो मेरे विरुद्ध होता रहता है भविष्य में रोक रखें ऐसा ना हो कि वह मर जाए और मूसा नहीं हुआ कि इस आज्ञा के अनुसार ही किया तब इसराइल मौसी से कहने लग देख हमारे प्राण निकलने चाहते हैं हम नष्ट हुए हम सब के सब नष्ट हो जाते हैं जो कोई यहोवा के निवास के समीप जाता है वह मर जाता है तो क्या हम सब के सब मर ही जाएंगे

Then the Lord said to Moses, "Speak to this Reliah and take from each of their leaders a rod, according to the number of their ancestral homes. Write on each of the twelve rods the name of the father of each man. Write on the rod of the Levites the name of Aaron, for each man will have a rod. Place these rods before the testimony in the Tent of Meeting where I meet with you. The man whom I will select will have a thorn sprouting on his rod, and I will remove from you the evil that is upon you, O Israelites." Moses spoke this to this Reliah, and all their leaders gave him a rod, each according to his family weight, and there were 12 rods, and Aaron's rod was among the rods.
